PC-COVID OFFICIAL APPLICATION OF THE NATIONAL COVID-19 PREVENTION STEERING COMMITTEE

What is PC-COVID?

This is a National Covid-19 Prevention and Control Application approved by the Covid-19 Steering Committee and will be the only app to replace more than 12 current epidemic prevention support applications of the country. PC-Covid is connected to carry out the control and authentication with 4 data sources including: National database on population (managed by the Ministry of Public Security); National database on insurance (managed by Vietnam Social Insurance); The National Database on Covid-19 Immunization and Prevention (managed by the Ministry of Health) and the Covid-19 Testing Database.

Pc-COVID Featured Features

Key features: Personal and location QR code management, QR Code Scanning, Medical Declaration, Domestic Travel Declaration, People’s Reflections, Vaccination Information, Test Information, Covid-19 Card, Close Contact Tracing.

• Personal QR code: Each citizen has a unique personal QR code that displays information related to covid-19 prevention and control in accordance with the National epidemic prevention and control strategy.
• Medical declaration: When there are signs such as cough, fever, loss of taste … or related, contact with people suspected of covid-19, people need to proactively declare health to be supported and detect early risk of infection.
• Location QR code: Locations: Agencies, Supermarkets, Schools, Hospitals, Public Places… register a qr code and must be made sure when people. Entry and exit of the location is fully recorded through qr code scanning.
• Vaccine, test results: People can see detailed information about the number of vaccines they have received, the nearest injection. The PC-Covid app also displays covid-19 test results when test results are available.
• Vaccine information card, testing: Application connected to vaccine management systems, Covid-19 testing, from which can display information about vaccines and tests to people in related cases.
• Reflection: People can submit comments about the app, declare their Covid-19 symptoms, or ask for help from local organizations.
• Trace: PC-Covid provides a combination of information on QR Code Scanning, Medical Declaration, Domestic Migration Declaration, Near Contact Detection,…
• Domestic move: People need to declare information when there is a need to move domestically. Since then, the authorities have managed to manage travel information, medical information, serve covid-19 prevention and control
• Where it came from: People can see detailed information about the locations they have been to and have a QR code scanned when entering and leaving. The information includes where it has arrived, the arrival time (details of the time each QR code scan).

PC-Covid is a common Covid-19 prevention application for everyone, bringing convenience to users. PC-Covid solves the inadequacies in applying technology to the epidemic room – that is too many apps that confuse people.

This application replaces the majority of previous applications such as Bluezone, NCOVI, Medical Declaration, QR Code Management… People later only need to download PC-Covid to be able to use all the features of the above applications.

At the same time, PC-Covid integrates many useful features in the current epidemic period, can investigate epidemiologically such as Bluezone, support medical declaration, provide QR codes for people, support to view the disease map …

PC-Covid is also an effective “passport” when people have to present QR codes or Covid cards through this application if checked by the authorities.

Instructions for installing PC-COVID

Step 1: Download the app.

Currently, PC-COVID apps are available on the Appstore (for IOS) and Play (for Android).

Step 2: Enter your phone number to sign up/sign in to the app.

Step 3: The app sends a confirmation code for a previously filled phone number.

Step 4: After confirmation, the interface of the application will show a COVID card QR code in blue – yellow – red, showing the user’s data from other health management systems including vaccination information, testing …

How to use PC-COVID?

Currently, people can download the app on the Appstore or Ch Play to their phones for easy use.

In case people do not use smartphones, experts say they can declare directly on the website: https://www.pccovid.gov.vn/ or ask others to register on the application. The user then prints the issued QR code and carries it with it on the go.

In the absence of an internet, the national PC-Covid application has a mechanism to save buffer data, download QR codes to be able to use when there is no network connection.

According to the National Covid-19 Prevention and Control Technology Center, in the coming time, PC-Covid applications will continue to be updated to make it more convenient and safe for users, as well as in line with the strategy of epidemic prevention and control. Therefore, users should let the app automatically update the new version, often continuously. User reflections related to the application are recorded and processed by the unit in charge.

How to fix some PC-COVID errors

First, there is no full update of the vaccine.

If you have received 1-2 shots, but the application has not fully updated the injection, please try the following ways again:

• Check the app update again, if you’re not on the latest version yet, go to the app store (Play, Appstore…) to proceed with the update, then close the app, wait a few minutes for the data to be synced.
• Check your personal information on PC-Covid, make sure that information such as full name, date of birth, phone number, CCCD/CMT number coincides with the Electronic Health Book? If you don’t need to update correctly, then close the app and wait a few minutes for the data to be synced.
• In case the above tests have been checked but there is still no injection data (including on PC-Covid and electronic health book), please message the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control technology fanpage for support.

Second, personal information is wrong.

If the app reports that personal information is wrong, please go to the PC-Covid => Manage QR Code => Correct QR Code => Edit personal information.

Third, the QR of the location cannot be scanned.

When arriving at location QR codes but PC-Covid does not scan the location, please check the following ways:

• Is the location QR code being scanned a National Location QR code, created from the qr.tokhaiyte.vn website or on the PC-Covid app? Some locations with the wrong personal QR code instead of location QR codes are also not scannable.
• Make sure the app is up to date with the latest version
• In case the location uses the correct National Location QR code, the application has been updated and the code scanning still does not work, please inbox for the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control technology fanpage for support.

Fourth, register the phone number but do not have an OTP code sent back.

There are many causes of this error such as telecommunications network, device failure, and also application. When this error is encountered, first of all, please check the status of sending / receiving SMS of the machine (whether there is an error, whether there is a strange SMS blocking software or feature, whether the wave is weak, the sim card is working normally …). Although PC-COVID is the official application of the national Covid-19 prevention steering committee, it is still in the process of being completed and developed, there are still some minor errors in the process of use. Therefore, people can now use the e-health book application until PC-COVID is completed.

What is the Department of Electronic Health?

“Electronic Health Book” is a mobile application for people directly connected to the Personal Health Records System of the Ministry of Health. The e-health book also provides tools for immunization registration, vaccination confirmation, COVID-19 vaccine certification, post-vaccination response.

The e-Health Book application is an application on the electronic platform of the Ministry of Health to help people and manage their own health information, thereby taking the initiative in disease prevention and health care. The e-health book is also an application with a Covid-19 vaccination certification utility

The electronic health book has the main utilities:

• Vaccination Registration Utilities: Covid-19 Vaccination Registration
• Vaccination confirmation utility: Provide information on whether to consent to covid19 vaccination
• Post-vaccination response utility: provide medical information about health status, symptoms that occur if any after being vaccinated against Covid-19
• Immunization Certification Utility: Covid-19 Vaccination Certification
• Medical booking utilities: Book an appointment at a medical facility.
• Health Records utility: Information about personal health records.

   Ministry of Health COVID-19 Immunization System

The electronic health book is directly connected to the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 Immunization System. The QR code on the Electronic Health Book will replace the COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

When participating in vaccinations at vaccination sites, vaccination data is updated to a centralizedly managed database, people can look up “COVID-19 Vaccination Certification” on the Electronic Health Book app or on the COVID-19 Vaccination Portal. Those who have received one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine will have a yellow certification, while those who receive two shots will have a blue certification.

Register your account

Once you’ve downloaded and installed the “E-Health Book” app, users need to register an account in four steps:

1. Open the app;
2. Tap the “Subscribe”;
3. Enter the registration information including full name, phone number, password (enter 2 times the same password to ensure authenticity);
4. Tap the “Next” icon to save account registration information.

To look up COVID-19 vaccination information, the following steps should be taken:

– Step 1: Access the https://tiemchungcovid19.gov.vnpath, under “Look up” select “Look up injection certificate” or access the https://tiemchungcovid19.gov.vn/portal/search path.

– Step 2: Fully and accurately enter the personal information of the person to look up, then click “Lookup”. Note: red aderation (*) content is required to enter.

– Step 3: Enter the OTP code received from the phone number provided at step 2 into the OTP authentication section and click the confirmation to end the operation.

At this time, the use of PC-COVID application or electronic health book is extremely necessary to facilitate transportation as well as ensure safety, contributing to the prevention and control of Covid-19.
