7-DAY CENTRALIZED ISOLATION FOR PEOPLE RECEIVING FULL DOSES OF COVID-19 VACCINE

Currently, the Ministry of Health has issued Official Letter No. 6288/BYT-MT on reducing the time of concentrated medical isolation for entry-es who have received sufficient doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

Accordingly, when performing a 7-day centralized medical quarantine and continuing medical monitoring for the next 7 days (except for cases where the person entering the office is less than 14 days and other cases of isolation as prescribed by the National Steering Committee, COVID-19 and the Ministry of Health) for people entering the country who meet the following conditions such as:

  1. Tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 (by RT-PCR/RT-LAMP) within 72 hours of exit and certified by the competent authorities of the country.
  2. Have received a full dose of COVID-19 vaccine (the last dose of which is given for a period of at least 14 days and no more than 12 months up to the time of entry) and have a vaccination certificate;
  3. Or have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 (have a certificate of positive test for SAR-COV-2 using the RT-PCR form method not exceeding 6 months up to the time of entry) and have a certificate of covid-19 cure or equivalent documents confirming that the disease has been cured by the competent authority in the country of treatment.

After entering Vietnam, the person entering Vietnam must take a SARS-CoV-2 test on the first day, the 7th day from the date of entry (the first day can use a rapid antigen test or by rt-PCR method; on Saturday, it is mandatory to use the RT-PCR application method).

At the same time, the Ministry of Health issued interim guidance on the inspection and recognition of vaccination certificates and certificates of covid-19 cure by foreigners, in which the recognition of vaccination certificate forms, certificates of covid-19 disease has been officially introduced by diplomatic means of 44 countries and territories.
