Children entering Vietnam are also subject to covid-19 prevention and control.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Health has stipulated for the case of children under the age of 18 who are foreigners.
Overseas Vietnamese entering Vietnam with relatives, in case the child and relatives have received sufficient doses of the COVID-19 vaccine or have recovered from COVID-19 (tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 in the 72 hours before leaving), have a certificate of vaccination, Will perform a 7-day centralized isolation and health monitoring for the next 7 days.
For children and relatives entering the country without vaccination
At the same time, for children and relatives entering the country without vaccination or insufficient doses of COVID-19 vaccine, conduct concentrated isolation 7 days from the date of entry, continue to carry out home isolation for the next 7 days, continue to monitor health until the end of 28 days from the date of entry.
For children under 18 years of age who are foreigners, Vietnamese residing abroad entering the country but the child caretaker is in Vietnam, the child performs isolation at home, accommodation with the child caretaker for 14 days from the date of entry.
Isolation facilities should ensure adequate clean water, hygiene, adequate nutrition, protection of children from violent abuse including sexual abuse, mental health care and psychosocial for children who are carrying out isolation at the facility under the guidance of the competent authorities.
