VISA -TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CARD

I.VISA

1. What is a visa?

According to the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam 2014, a visa is a type of paper issued by a Competent Authority of Vietnam, allowing foreigners to enter Vietnam.

2. Conditions for obtaining a visa

  • Have a passport or document valid for international travel.
  • There are agencies, organizations and individuals in Vietnam to invite and guarantee.
  • Not in cases where entry is not allowed.
  • The following cases of visa requests must have documents proving the purpose of entry:
  • Foreigners entering the investment must have documents proving the investment in Vietnam in accordance with the Investment Law;
  • Foreigners practicing law in Vietnam must obtain a license to practice in accordance with the law on lawyers;
  • Foreigners entering the labor must obtain a work permit in accordance with the Provisions of the Labor Code;
  • Foreigners entering the study must have a written reception from a Vietnamese school or educational institution.

3. Visa application

  • Business certificate/license in Vietnam;
  • Tax code registration/ registration of stamp form;
  • Prepare a written request for a visa for foreigners;
  • 2 photos of white background card, size 2x3cm;
  • Original passport, valid for more than 6 months;
  • Temporary residence documents are absent locally.

4. Steps to issue a visa (for investment and work visas)

 Step 01: Customer
information Receive information from customers, collect the necessary documents.

 Step 02: Prepare a temporary residence card application
Prepare your profile according to the information provided by the customer above. Send documents to customers for confirmation, sealing and signature.

 Step 03: Apply
The application for visa is submitted to the Immigration Department – Ministry of Public Security.

 Step 04:Get Results
Get a visa from the Immigration Department – Ministry of Public Security.

 Step 05:Hand over papers to customers
Hand over the Temporary Residence Card and other relevant documents to the customer.

II.TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CARD

1. What is a temporary residence card?

A temporary residence card is a long-term visa issued by the Immigration Authority of Vietnam to foreigners with a minimum term of 1 year, up to 2 years in case the employee has a work permit/ Work Permit Exemption Certificate. A maximum period of 5 years to 10 years for investors contributing capital to business in enterprises in Vietnam.

2. Conditions for issuance of temporary residence cards

  • The passport of the foreigner must have a minimum shelf life of 13 months (In case the passport is valid for 13 months, the Immigration Agency will issue a temporary residence card with a maximum term of 12 months).
  • Foreigners must carry out procedures for temporary residence registration at commune or ward police or register online in accordance with regulations.
  • Other proof documents (if any)

3. Application for issuance of temporary residence card

  • Notarized copy of business registration license, or investment license, or operating license of representative office, branch, etc. depending on the type of enterprise (for investors, it must show the details and clearly the capital contribution of foreign investors)
  • The certificate of registration of the seal form or the written notice of the posting of information about the enterprise's seal form on the national portal on enterprise registration.
  • Register the signature form and signature for the first time at the Immigration Department.
  • Official documents and applications for temporary residence cards for foreigners
  • Declaration of application for temporary residence card for foreigners
  • A referral for Vietnamese employees to apply for temporary residence cards at the Immigration Agency.
  • Original passports and visas
  • The certificate of temporary residence registration or temporary residence registration of foreigners has been confirmed by the police of the ward or commune where the foreigner is temporarily residing in Vietnam;
  • 02 photos 2cmx3cm.

4. Implementation process (for temporary investment and temporary residence)

 Step 01: Customer
